Bell Flower Coloring Pages

OWH BarbaraM5Before we get to this week’s cardmaker, I need to mention that Suzanne H, our featured cardmaker on June 7th, was out of town for her date and couldn’t reply to your comments. Then, as soon as she got home, her husband — ouch! — had knee replacement, so she’s been a tad busy. But she wanted to thank everyone who took the time to comment here on the blog. Your appreciation for her wonderful cards was much appreciated!

FF BarbaraMThis week’s Featured Friday cardmaker is Barbara M, from Bellflower, CA, who not only has some very special cardmaking partners, but a personal reason for making cards for our heroes and I’ve not a single doubt that the pleasure she receives making her cards is magnified many times over — first by the hero who chooses one to send home, then again by the recipient who ultimately receives it.

I can also so identify with her comment about her paper. My paper hoarding was bad enough when I was collecting 12×12. Now that I’ve added 6×6 pads for the smaller print for cards, I fear I’m a couple pads short of needing an intervention! lol

FF BarbaraMSince part of the fun of sharing our cards on Fridays it to receive feedback from other cardmakers, please leave Barbara some special Featured Friday love here in the comments section!

How long have you been stamping?

I started scrapbooking in 1997 and in 2007 I was introduced to the world of card making by joining a stamping class taught by my friend Jami S. – I was amazed at how many techniques can be accomplished with just a few simple stamps and inks.OWH BarbaraM1 wonderful women ever since.

I’ve also been crafting with my grandchildren for many years. Their favorites are making Mother’s and Father’s Day cards and coloring ANY HERO coloring pages which are mailed along with my cards. My 14 year old granddaughter has made several cards good enough to send with the adult made cards.

Do you have a craft room or specific area where you stamp/craft?

OWH BarbaraM3I squeeze into the corner of my small kitchen and needless to say, my hoarding craft supplies has taken over every spare inch and more.

What are your favorite stamp/craft products?

Love my Big Shot and Sizzix alphabet dies. Star and heart punches and dies. Can’t forget my Xyron adhesive machine, it’s been used on four grandchildren’s science project boards. I have enough pattern paper to wallpaper every room in my home. And anything Tim Holtz.
